Microsoft Outlook Express - step by step email configuration

Microsoft Outlook Express animated setup - NEW!!!


Step 1 - After you open "Microsoft Outlook Express", go to
the "Tools" menu and then "Accounts"

Step 2 - After clicking "Accounts" the "Internet Accounts"
window appears. In this window click the "Add" button and
then click "Mail".

Step 3 - When you click "Mail", the "Internet connection wizzard"
window appears. In "Display name" enter your real name
(eg. Tom Jones) and then click "Next".

Step 4 - In "E-mail address" enter the e-mail which you will
use (eg. tom@tom-jones.com) and click "Next".

Step 5 - In "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server" and
"Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" enter the your account mail server
(eg. mail.tom-jones.com) and click "Next".

Step 6 - In "Account name" enter your username which must
follow the pattern <user@domain.com> (eg. tom@tom-jones.com).
After this enter your password and click "Next" and then "Finish".

Step 7 - Repeat "Step 1" in order to open the
"Internet Accounts" window again. Select the account which
you've just added and then click "Properties".

Step 8 - The "Properties" window appears. Go to the
"Server" menu and make sure that the checkbox
"My server requires authentication" is ticked, otherwise
you won't be able to send messages.

Step 9 - In the same window go to the "Advanced" menu
and make sure that the checkbox
"Leave a copy of messages on server" is not ticked,
otherwise the email client will leave a copy of every incoming
message on the server and this may result in exceeded disk
quota of your account.

Please make sure that you are viewing the screenshots in their
original sizes as there is possibility that your browser is resizing
the images!!!
